The Akwamat is a 15 mm thick under-mattress carpet, made from natural coconut fibres and pure latex rubber. The open structure of the Akwamat creates the perfect conditions in which moisture can be drawn from the mattress and will provide maximum ventilation (provided there are at least a few vent holes in the mattress bottom or side support).
The natural movement of turning in your sleep, causes the Akwamat to function as a pump, further improving ventilation and keeping your mattress effectively dry. Due to its elasticity, the Akwamat adds extra comfort to your existing mattress!

THE AKWAMAT IN CAMPERS AND CARAVANS.
Unlike boats, campers and caravans normally don't have 'fixed' bed positions, but here too, the Akwamat does a perfect job. The required vent holes are normally already present in the bench covers or can be easily drilled. Vent holes in the table-top are not necessary, as the Akwamat also 'breathes' at it's 'ends' and through the chinks (when in the sleeping set-up), between bench coverand table-top.
